ForestrPro Desktop GIS 1.0.0 for Windows (64-bit, Windows 10 or 11)

forestrpro-gis.exe the desktop GIS
forestrpro-gis-cli.exe the command line (forestrpro-gis-cli forestr projects, open, pull, publish…)

Getting started
1. Start ForestrPro Desktop GIS and open the ForestrPro tab.
2. Choose ForestrPro Projects and sign in with your ForestrPro account
(the server is https://forestrpro.com unless your organisation runs its own).
3. Open one of your team's projects. It's kept as a working copy on this computer and saved
as you work, so nothing is lost if the connection drops.
4. Add forestry layers from the ForestrPro tab (compartments, planting areas, routes…),
draw and edit them on the Edit tab, then choose Publish Changes. The ForestrPro dashboard
and the Android app (project → Prepare for offline) get the published layers.

Where things are kept
- Working copies of projects: %LOCALAPPDATA%\ForestrPro Desktop GIS\projects
- Settings: %APPDATA%\ForestrPro Desktop GIS (crash.log is written there if the app fails)
- Your ForestrPro sign-in: Windows Credential Manager (ForestrPro Desktop GIS)

The portable ZIP needs no installation; the setup.exe also adds a Start menu entry, puts the
command line on your PATH and registers the forestrpro:// link the dashboard's
"Open in Desktop GIS" button uses.
