Create a cutting or clearance task

Create a task for windblow clearance, felling, harvesting, roadside or vegetation work in a few simple steps: the type of work, the details, where it is and who does it.

  1. Go to Jobs (or Home) and tap Create a job.
  2. Type of work: tap the type, such as Windblown tree clearance, Tree felling, Roadside clearance or Invasive species removal.
  3. Details: give it a name and say what needs doing, with any hazards. Optionally choose a Finish by date, and how urgent it is.
  4. Location: move the map so the crosshair is on the spot and tap Mark the spot at the crosshair, draw the work area corner by corner, tap Use where I am now (your GPS position), or use a compartment's boundary. Or tap Skip this step.
  5. Who: choose the team and the project. Owners and managers tick who will do it, or leave everyone unticked so anyone in the team can take it; members can tick I'll do this job myself. Not in a team? The task is kept on your phone.
  6. More details: tick Several people may work on it together if it's a job for a crew.
  7. Check and create: tap Change next to anything that's wrong, then Create job.

The task opens straight away, and appears on the map in orange until work starts. The steps are the same as in the web dashboard: see Create a job.
