- Go to More → GIS import and export and scroll to Export.
- Choose what to Include, and the Area: Everything, or a forest and some of its compartments.
- Choose the Format and the Coordinate system (British National Grid or WGS84).
- Export, then send the file by email, cloud storage or however you share files.
Opening it in QGIS: with the GeoPackage format, unzip the export and open the .qgs file. The layers come in already styled.
British National Grid exports use the standard Helmert transformation, accurate to about 3–5 m. Records outside Great Britain are left out, and the export tells you about them.
Other exports: GPS tracks as GPX (Records → GPS tracks) and vegetation surveys as a ZIP (Records → Vegetation surveys). The History on this screen lists your past imports and exports.
