Add an inspection to a tree or plant

Record a new dated inspection of a tree or vegetation record. Earlier observations are always kept, so you build up a history over time.

  1. Tap the tree or vegetation record on the map (or open it from Records → Records → Vegetation).
  2. Tap New inspection. The form is pre-filled with the last observation.
  3. Update the condition, measurements and notes, add photos, and record any Management action taken or needed.
  4. Tap Save inspection.

Each inspection is added to the record's history with its date. Earlier ones are never overwritten.

A tree has been felled or removed

Open the record and tap Record as removed…, then Record removal. It stays on the map greyed out, with its full history.

The same tree was recorded twice

Open the duplicate and tap This is a duplicate of another record…. Enter the reference of the record to keep and tap Merge. All observations and photos move to the record you keep.
