Fix a map that sits in the wrong place

If an imported map doesn't line up with roads or the base map, choose another map frame or drag it into place by hand.

Some PDFs place the map slightly off, usually because of how they were exported. There are two ways to fix it.

1. Try another map frame

Some PDFs contain several georeferenced frames that disagree.

  1. Go to More → Maps library.
  2. On the map's card, tap ⋮ → Map frame (if it looks offset)…
  3. If there's a choice, pick another frame and tap Use this frame, then compare roads or the coastline with the base map.

2. Drag it into place

  1. On Map, press and hold on the imported map.
  2. Tap Move map.
  3. Drag with one finger to line up roads, tracks or coastline with the base map. Pinch still zooms. The arrow buttons move it 1 m at a time.
  4. Tap Save. Nothing changes until you do.

To undo your adjustment later, start moving the map again and tap Reset to PDF.
