Measure distances and areas, and draw

Measure a distance or an area on the map point by point, using the crosshair or your GPS position, and save it as a drawing if you want to keep it.

  1. On Map, tap the tools button, then Measure → Distance or Area.
  2. Move the map so the crosshair is on the first point and tap Add at crosshair. Or stand on the spot and tap GPS to use your position.
  3. Add more points the same way. The measurement updates as you go. Undo and Redo fix mistakes.
  4. To keep it, tap Save as drawing. To close without saving, tap Done.

To draw without measuring, choose New drawing → Point or Line in the same tools panel, give it a name, colour and line style, and save.

Tap a point you've added to select it, then Move to crosshair, Move to GPS position or Delete point.

Measurements are calculated on the earth's surface (the WGS84 ellipsoid), not in screen pixels. Change units in More → Settings → Measurement units. Saved drawings are listed in Records → Records → Drawings.
