Share your location with your team

Let your team's owners and managers see where you are while you work, for coordination and lone working. You start and stop it yourself.

Location sharing is always your choice. Joining a team doesn't share your location, and sharing runs only while you've switched it on.

Start sharing

  1. Go to More → Teams and find Location sharing.
  2. Choose the team under Share with, and how often to send your position under Update every. Shorter intervals use more battery.
  3. Tap Start sharing my location.

A notification stays up while you share. To stop, tap Stop sharing in the app or Stop in the notification.

No signal? Positions wait on the phone and are sent when you're back in coverage.

Who sees it

Only the team's owners and managers, on Live Operations in the app and Live locations on the dashboard. Each position is marked by age:

  • Live: received in the last couple of minutes
  • Delayed: a few minutes old
  • No signal: nothing for over 15 minutes, so the last known position is shown

Shared positions are deleted after 30 days. Your own GPS tracks are separate and stay on your phone.

See where the team is (owners and managers)

Open the team and tap Live Operations: see where the team is. Tap a member to centre on them and see their last hour.
