Open a project in Desktop GIS from the dashboard

Use the dashboard's Open in Desktop GIS button to go straight from a project's page to its map layers in ForestrPro Desktop GIS.

  1. In the dashboard, open Projects and choose a project.
  2. Under Map data and Desktop GIS, choose Open in Desktop GIS. Your browser may ask whether to open the app: allow it.
  3. Desktop GIS opens the project. If you're not signed in yet, sign in and it opens straight after.

If nothing happens, Desktop GIS isn't installed on that computer, or it was installed from the portable ZIP, which doesn't register the button. Install it with the setup.exe.
