Run a vegetation survey

Group the records and inspections you make during a survey, see a summary by species and condition, and export the whole survey as a ZIP.

  1. Go to Records → Vegetation surveys and tap New survey.
  2. Enter the Survey name and Surveyor, choose the forest and, if you like, a compartment. Tick Use the compartment boundary as the survey area to show the area on the map.
  3. Tap Start survey.
  4. Work as normal. While a survey is active, every new vegetation record and inspection is added to it, and the map shows the survey's name.
  5. Use Pause and Resume between visits, and Mark complete when you've finished.

Tap Summary for counts by category, species and condition, and Export to share the survey as a ZIP. Export all exports every vegetation record.
