Your work in ForestrPro (planting, tasks, records, GPS tracks and location sharing) can be done in the web dashboard too, on any phone, tablet or computer. On a phone, add it to your home screen so it opens from an icon like an app.
- iPhone and iPad
- Open forestrpro.com/dashboard in Safari and sign in. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow), then Add to Home Screen, then Add.
- Android
- Open the dashboard in Chrome and choose Add to home screen on Home (or, in the browser menu, Install app or Add to Home screen).
- Stay signed in
- Tick Keep me signed in on this device when you sign in, so the icon opens straight into your work. Don't tick it on a shared computer.
Some things work differently in a browser. GPS only works while the page is open and the screen is on (ForestrPro keeps the screen on while you record or plant). If the phone locks, a track continues as a new part when you come back. Offline maps (PDF maps prepared for offline use) are in the app only; the dashboard needs a signal for the base map. Changes you make without a signal are kept on the phone and sent when it's back.
