Import maps and GIS data into a project

Add georeferenced PDF maps and GeoPackage, Shapefile, GeoJSON, KML, GPX or CSV data to a project from the dashboard, so the team has them in the app.

  1. In a team, open Projects. Choose New project, or open a project and choose Edit project.
  2. Under Maps and GIS data, choose the files: georeferenced PDF maps, and GeoPackage, Shapefile (the .shp with its .dbf and .prj), GeoJSON, KML/KMZ, GPX or CSV data. ZIP files are opened for you.
  3. Each map and layer found is listed with its number of features and coordinate system. Untick any you don't want.
  4. Choose Save project. They're shared with the project.

Data in British National Grid or the Irish grids is converted to GPS coordinates with the same datum shift the app uses. A CSV with eastings and northings and no coordinate system is read as British National Grid, and the list says so. The team gets the maps in the app with Prepare for offline, and the layers on the map; they can be edited in the GIS.
