Get started with the Timber Yard

Weigh in a delivery, grade it into stock, then take an order and dispatch it, in the dashboard and on the phone.

  1. Open Timber Yard from the menu (Yard along the bottom of a phone). The first time, add your species and your bays under Settings and Locations.
  2. When a load arrives, open Deliveries and record it, then Weigh it on the weighbridge: gross with the load, tare when empty.
  3. Choose Grade it to grade the timber into stock batches, or Receive without grading. Each batch has its own QR label.
  4. Take an order under Orders with Create an order, then Reserve stock for it.
  5. Choose Create a dispatch, and Confirm: loaded and gone when the lorry leaves. The dispatch note is ready to print.

In the app, open More → Timber Yard to scan a batch's label, see its stock and history, move it or add a photo, even with no signal.

Stock changes only through the batch's ledger, so it never goes below zero and every change can be traced. A step made on the phone with no signal is sent later, and shown as done only once the server accepts it.
