Get started with the Tree Nursery

Set up your species and growing areas, record seed and growing batches, then grade, sell, pick and dispatch trees.

  1. Open Tree Nursery from the menu. Under Settings, choose Add from the starter list for common UK species, or add your own, and add your sites.
  2. Under Growing areas, draw each bed or tunnel on the map with its capacity (or choose Add an area without drawing it).
  3. Record seed under Seeds with Record seed collected, and its germination with Record a test. Start propagations under Propagation.
  4. Keep your growing stock under Tree inventory: Record a measurement, Record care, Record plant health, Move or Split.
  5. When trees are ready, choose Grade trees. Graded trees become saleable stock.
  6. Under Orders and sales, add the products you sell, then Create an order and reserve trees for it.
  7. Under Picking and dispatch, choose Make a picking list, pick the trees, then Confirm the dispatch and print the delivery note.

In the app, open More → Tree Nursery to scan labels, record measurements, care and plant health, move trees, pick orders and confirm dispatches, with or without a signal.

An order can never reserve more trees than are free, and quarantined trees can't be sold or sent. Trees leave stock only when the dispatch is confirmed.
