Get started with Firewood

Receive raw timber, make firewood in a production batch, dry it with moisture readings, then sell, deliver and trace it.

  1. Open Firewood from the menu (More → Firewood in the app). Under Settings, check the lists (species, units, packaging) and draw your timber stores and drying sheds on the map.
  2. Under Products, choose Add a product for each thing you sell: say its unit (m³, bags, nets…), what one holds and its price.
  3. When timber arrives, choose Receive raw timber (Timber received in the app) and record how much, of what, from whom and what it cost.
  4. Under Production, choose Start production: the timber going in and what it will make. When it is done, choose Complete with the real quantities.
  5. Firewood that needs drying goes under Drying. Record a reading as it seasons; when the readings meet your target, choose Ready for sale.
  6. Under Orders, Create an order and Confirm and reserve stock. Then Schedule a delivery, Dispatch it, and record it Delivered with the customer's signature or a photo.

In the app, everything outdoors (timber received, production, moisture readings, moves and deliveries) works with no signal and is sent when there is one.

Nothing is marked dry by time alone, and tonnes are never turned into m³ unless you enter the conversion in Settings. Stock leaves only when a delivery is dispatched; anything that comes back is returned to stock.
