Anyone in the team (owner, manager or member) can give a project its boundary by walking round it with the app.
- On a new project, under Site boundary, tap Walk the boundary. For an existing project, open it and tap Walk the boundary.
- Tap Start walking the boundary (allow precise location the first time) and walk round the site. The phone can go in your pocket: it keeps recording with the screen off.
- The map draws your line and the area it closes, with the area so far, the distance walked and how far back to where you started. Pause if you need to stop.
- Back at the start, tap Finish the boundary.
The boundary becomes the project's Site boundary layer, with its area, perimeter and who walked it, so the whole team sees it on the map, on the job maps and in the web and Desktop GIS. On a new project it's shared when you save the project, and its area fills in the site's area if that's empty. With no signal it's kept on the phone and shared when there's a signal (opening the project sends it). Walking it again replaces it.
